This past week was Karis' introduction to cereal. We had been trying to decide when to start the cereal. Since Karis will be five months old on Tuesday we decided that we would make out first attempt. We have been giving her about two teaspoons of rice mixed in with two ounces of breastmilk. She has been doing a really good job with it. We try to give it to her right after a meal. We tried to give her some cereal before nursing her, but that did NOT go over well.
We are working on getting her to fall asleep in her cradle. We are really trying to stick to a bedtime routine of nurse, bath, cereal, rocking/book, and then bed.
Karis also got her own tubby this week. Up until now she has been getting her bath in the kitchen sink.
Earlier this week we thought Karis might be gettin a tooth, but no sign yet. She has created a new way of using her pacifier.
