This weekend

We had a fun weekend. On Saturday, Karis and I had our baby group. It was fun. A new baby joined the group. Now there is a baby who was born on 8/12, 8/13, and 8/14. We were all in the hospital at the same time, and didn't even know it.

After playgroup we took a ride to Bangor. We shopped the clearance racks, and we all got a few new shirts. At LL Bean we found Karis' snowsuit for next year for $7.50. After that we went to Olive Garden for dinner. Karis charmed everyone sitting around us. When we got home though, Karis didn't think it was time to sleep. She was up until almost 11.

On Sunday we spent most of the day at home. We watched Karis try to move around the floor. She can now get up on all fours. She is rolling all around too. Duncan isn't too fond of the new development. He really wants nothing to do with her. She has taken to grabbing fistfuls of Skqueakers' fur, and he let's her. She so wants to do this to Duncan too, but he definately won't let her.

In the afternoon we took Karis to her first concert. Our friend, Jane, sings in a choir, and we went to Camden to listen to her choir. The concert was at St. Thomas Episcople church. What a beautiful church. I thought we would be lucky to get through the first couple songs, but Karis loved the singing. She snuggled into my chest, and just listened to the music. The woman next to me said that Karis was going to be a musician. At the end of the concert another woman came up to us and told us that Karis was the most well behaved baby in the United States. I had no idea where the woman had been sitting, but she said that she was sure that Karis wouldn't make it through the concert. It was lucky because they were recording the concert.

Our day wasn't done though. We stopped into the reception after the concert for a few minutes, and then headed over the grocery store. Karis now sits in the cart almost on her own. She kept losing her shoes and socks though.
